Direct editorial staff of three, perform appraisals of their performance and hire and train new employees when necessary. Negotiate the flow of information and prioritize its place, or lack thereof, in the newspaper. Edit copy, design and layout newspaper pages before sending to print. Produce news stories and photographs. Write a weekly column that discusses local issues. Act as administrator for our website and update its content. Plan and execute special events such as the mayoral forum, acting as a moderator when necessary.
